|Making Fairy Tales Come True|
Bester Burke devised an innovative way to connect their client, Yardley, with consumers via the introduction of a stylish and personal new makeover show, Cinderella Sessions. The show brought to life Yardley’s positioning as a brand that gives all women the tools to reveal their true beauty.Six lucky women were selected via a national online competition and given the chance to be their most beautiful on national television with make-up and hair styled by international make-up artist and Yardley ambassador, Carl Isaacs, and a shopping trip to Edgars who sponsored the wardrobe to select a new outfit. The show allowed Yardley to share Carl’s expertise and give consumers make-up and styling tips via the product demonstrations. Television viewers enjoyed emotional reveals when the ladies returned to friends, family or colleagues looking and feeling wonderfully reinvented.
Cinderella Sessions and Carl’s sought-after tips were also shared on Yardley’s online channels, with actionable guidelines via the shopping lists of products used on each episode.
Bester Burke’s Client Service Director, Shirley Bester, commented: “As an agency, Bester Burke constantly strives to find new and innovative ways to communicate with brands and consumers. Cinderella Sessions allowed us to tell an engaging story and give six women an experience of a lifetime to treasure.”
“At the same time, the show enabled Yardley to engage directly with consumers online, sharing Carl’s fantastic tips and techniques and providing an interactive platform and resource for product advice.”
Cinderella Sessions have been flighting at 18:27 on SABC3 since 28 April 2011. The series ends on 07 July 2011.
